The key focus for this natural boulder retaining wall was the rich rustic color of the boulders used. The customer had a very specific color that they wanted and due to our extensive experience with natural stone we were able to locate these Semco ‘Rustic Buff’ boulders right away. It took two crew members just two days total to excavate and install this large retaining wall. They also mulched the flowerbeds and reseeded the grass area. We used 22 tons of large boulders in all, some of which weighed 1 ton a piece! The crew used an excavator to help lift and guide each rock into place and then hand placed smaller “shim rocks” for balance and a tight fitting look. The end result helps set this home apart from the neighbors and adds great aesthetic value that can last for decades!
