Does anyone feel like it can be harder during the winter months to think of things to do – especially with the kiddos? We do too! So, that is why we have updated our Winter Bucket List blog in hopes that these ideas will help get you through. 

Food is a great way to keep warm when it is below freezing outside; bake and decorate cookies, have a pizza and movie night, make a big breakfast buffet with everyone’s favorite foods!

Ice skating, snow tubing and skiing have to be on the list. If you are feeling adventurous – hit the slopes!

Or you can trade in the snow boots for bowling shoes and play best out of three to see who the bowling champion of the family is. Leisure Lanes is open every day of the week.

Keep warm by the fire and roast s’mores! Swap the chocolate bar for a Resse’s Peanut Butter Cup – it is delicious, we promise.

Are you wanting to try something new? Host an “at home” wine tasting with a small group of friends!

Making homemade hot cocoa and play a board game. Whipped cream, marshmallows, candy canes – the list of hot chocolate toppings is practically endless and the perfect sweet treat while playing your favorite game.

Take a little road trip for a cabin weekend getaway.

Build a fort with all the blankets and pillows you have. This activity is always kid approved.

Bring back the snail mail and make homemade valentine’s day cards to send to family and friends.

Bundle up and go for a walk! Fresh air can do wonders.

There are lots of sporting events coming up this season. February 4th – 20th are the 2022 Winter Olympics.  The NHL All Star Game is Sunday, February 5th and the Super Bowl is Sunday, February 13th. Who are you rooting for?

Of course, when there is snow on the ground — sledding, riding a snow mobile, making homemade ice cream and building a snowman are great options too!
